Bt biolarvicides feature beneficial bacterium Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt), which are the most widely used of the known biological pesticides. Each Bt cell produces unique crystalline proteins called Cry toxins, which attacks the gut cells of caterpillar larvae, causing death when ingested.
